Each theme is based upon one of eight basic functions, touching upon different aspects of the psyche in the way (there are more than 40.000 combinations possible!).

  • Stage Tracking: See your current stage in the cycle, which guide you to observe in yourself specific emotions and behaviors, as well as their interactions. Each cycle has a unique focus, like moving from insecurity to innovation.
  • Logging Observations: Every time you spot a pattern or emotion, log it to accumulate Photons—points that track your progress and unlock new features. Logging is the cornerstone of the app, designed to:
    • Increase self-awareness by helping you understand your tendencies.
    • Train your ability to remember yourself, fostering conscious choice over reactivity.
    • Create a pause in the stream of life, allowing you to free your attention from whatever thought, emotion, or sensation has captured it.
  • Emotion Logging: Log emotions to tailor your future paths and correlate your usage with tangible benefits, while also training you to acknowledge what you feel.
  • Progress and Prompts: Every few days, the app asks touches base with your emotional state to map your progress. You’ll also receive inspiring phrases and periodic questionnaires to fine-tune your experience.

2. Practices and Insights Screen: Tailored Support

  • Tailored Practices: Based on your current cycle and progress, the app offers three types of practices:
    • Focusing Attention: Meditations like Samatha or Vipassana to train your mindfulness and free your attention.
    • Soothing Practices: Gentle exercises to help you accept yourself fully—with the “good and the bad”—surrender to the moment, and see every new emotion as just another opportunity for observation.
    • Work-Related Practices: Designed to deepen your valuation of self-work, these remind you of key concepts (like recognizing identification or captive attention) and support you through challenging realizations, reinforcing that you’re here to experience whatever arises.
  • Insights: Gain a deeper understanding of your journey with:
    • Emotion Insights: Learn what your emotions might mean and what you might be missing.
    • Cycle Reflections: Review completed cycles and their impact on your growth.
    • Current Situation Summary: Get a snapshot of your personality traits, challenges, and their effect on your well-being.
    • Stats and Results: Track your interactions and see the tangible benefits of your efforts.

3. Social Screen: Connect and Inspire

  • Community Features: Share your journey by sending and receiving inspirational messages and insights with other users.
  • Global Impact: View a world map showing where and how many Photons are being produced worldwide, connecting you to a larger movement toward collective well-being.

    • Periodic short questionnaires fine-tune the system, keeping your experience relevant.

  • Constant Support: The “How are you today?” prompt maps your progress, while inspiring phrases and brief explanations of key concepts (like accepting yourself fully or surrendering to the moment) keep you motivated.
  • Depth and Variation: Happinetics blends enough depth to challenge you with enough variety to keep the journey exciting, growing with you as your awareness deepens.
